I am going to try to be more aggressive in selling my craft-art-destash items.....trying to get into a craft fair and consignment agreement with a great store in Phoenix. We will see... keep you posted. I will also add some new items to my Etsy store this weekend....
Thx
Welcome!!!! Enjoy my thoughts, art, inspirations, and passions
Lately I have been working on DESTASHING MY CRAFT SUPPLIES by creating Altered stART Kits --- so much fun!
To sell these kits and various items - I have started an Etsy Store and an Artfire Store - links to the right =>
I have been and will be posting on my blog, different items that I have made, or altered with items that are found in my kits. What I have made does not even scratch the surface on the possibilities ....

Baby Girl
Well - we are a little more than two months from the birth of our little girl. I cannot wait. My emotions are out of control - excited, anxious, scared, happy, nervous...all at one time!!! I guess that is normal for a new parent. I have been 'nesting' I guess = trying to destash and reorganize everything in my house at once. I don't recommend it!! I think this week I am going to concentrate on finishing some non- baby projects and try to stay in each moment. Enjoying each moment.
Its amazing that I can love her so much already, and I haven't even met her yet. Get to hear hear heartbeat again this week, as we have started to attend her doctor's appointments every two weeks. We are so lucky that our birth mom is so open and amazing. Another thing to be grateful for. Words will never be able to thank her for making our dreams come true.

Altered Book Page Examples
Here are 3 examples of pages in one of my altered books. Some supplies used were: handmade paper scraps, vellum, chip board letters, tags, ribbon, dictionary pages with stamps to distress, rub on letters...
Pockets were created either by adding additional paper to a page and adhering it, or by tearing pages within the book and gluing edges together.

Art and Adoption

Just an FYI - any money that I receive from the sales of any of my Altered stART Kits on my Etsy Store will go toward the adoption of our first child.

Some Altered Items that I have created...

Front and back about 4x6 made from a collage sheet that I made with the theme of One.The Power of One
The Love of One
One Heart
One World
I distressed it with Tim Holz stamps, spray glitter, and crumbling the paper. I created a pocket to hold the 'N' and added a ribbon. This was used for a swap with the number theme. I also mounted this piece to a small canvas that I altered, as well.
